I installed a Jardine exhaust and rode it for 10 minutes between 3k and 3500 rpms to let the ECM tune itself to the new exhaust. It stopped back popping when I rev it up in neutral but it still pops quite a bit when downshifting or letting off the accelerator going down the road. Is a remap possible on the 2009 XB9's? How much would it cost to just have a dealer remap it to the new set up?

Ive done all the tricks you can do to a 2009 xb9! Open airbox, K&N air and oil filter, breather mod, iridium plugs, Remus powerizer, royal purple oil. The bike still ran kinds crappy till I put the plugs in and BAM!! 100% difference, turned into a beast! NO joke.

You make more power off of the platinum plugs. The iridiums are just harder to foul. If you felt a huge difference in power between the two its because it was running off one cylinder to begin with.

Where did you buy the plugs?

You can buy the plugs at any auto store. The part number is NGK DCPR9EIX

I've tried Autozone and AdvanceAuto. Neither had them in stock and AdvanceAuto ordered them, only to tell me a week later that they were out of stock direct from NGK! [mad]

'08+ TPS Reset Procedure:

- Turn on the key.

- Set the kill switch to the run position.

- Don’t start the engine. Rotate the throttle from fully closed (gently forced closed) to fully open (gently held open), and then back again to closed (gently forced closed).

- Repeat 3 times. Hold each position (fully open, fully closed) for 1 full second.

- Turn the key off and on.

So your saying new plugs will help? I reset my tps every fill up but it still runs like crap. I really need a map for it but can't seem to find it anywhere.....

Its really not hard to do a custom map. To my knowledge the only plug and play unit on the market is the EBR ecm.

Ecmspy will not work with 08+ bikes. You only options are ecmspy mono and tunerpro. Ecmspy Mono there is a fee to unlock it for your particular bike. Tunerpro is completely free. The answer to your question is I only use tunerpro for my bike, even though it is an '06, since it is much more powerful than the free version of ecmspy.

EBR was supposed to have come out with a plug and play ECM for our 08+ XB9s late last year but nothing ever came out [down]
