2011 1125R?

Buellxb Forum

Help Support Buellxb Forum:

Alright boys, Buell sales are down and we need to do something about it so here's the plan. We're going to announce that we're closing up shop. We'll stay closed for 3 months during which we'll clear all of the new bikes off the showroom floor by having liquidation prices. We'll have to keep our employees quiet, so we'll give them healthy bonus's for acting sad depressed and not leaking info. THEN we'll start riding one of the new bikes around town. Let some viral pictures float around and continue building demand. When we re-open the doors, we'll have no more XB line and a brand new amazing looking liquid cooled line. Everyone will want one of these "Limited production Buells". That will save the company!"

If this is true I see a second buell in my future instead of the kawa monster zx-14.

The spokes on the front wheel are cut out. At first I thought it may just be blurr from the pictures but it looks like the inside of each spoke has been removed.

The tail piece is definitely different then the race kit tail. Where the plastic comes down to the seat is much thinner; it looks like jap tail. The "production-like" qualities of the license plate and turn signal piece definitely makes me think this was not a custom bike. Plus the weird little reflectors hanging off the tail screams stock. hmm, its too bad this may never come about.

Sorry guys, am I going to be the 1st to say that I dont like it? Makes a buell look just like every other bike I see on the road. I do not like it at all, and would go Ducati if I wanted a look closer to this. Sad that I needed to look for the ZTL brake to make sure this was a buell :(

I was only compairing the 1125RR tail since it is so small.

I think it is just a concept bike, sometimes the hardest answers are found with the easiest explinations.

The tail reminds me of a CBR1000RR, otherwise the only thing that doesnt look "Buell" to me is the side fairings. Considering it is an 1125 not a Firebolt.

it's a 1125r with ducati 1098 front and a race tail section of...cbrr? gsxr? r1?.

Macbuell,
What exactly is wrong with resembling all of the others? Yamaha, Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Ducati...all still THRIVING, not just still in business. HMMMM! If Buell comes back as DaveXB says...maybe our value will come back and we can think of buying the UFO, or simply trading it out for something with the potential of still being here in a few years! Look, I loved my XB12R, like my 1125R, but if I wasn't trying to buy American only...any year 999, or any R1 would have been my first choices...for asthetics and quality!

Barracuda was a nice project, 200hp redesigned 1125. Anything on two wheels with 200hp, who cares what it looks like, and if it resembles a 1125R,bonus!

If it was 200hp and affordable, then I might come around to the looks! :p

A stock Buell with 200hp! If thats true makes me want to think H-D didn't shut Buell down because they were losen money, but becuase the japs paid them off cause they were scared. At least it makes me feel better.

This completly screws my HD-strategy topic.

But if this bike is;
- Ready to roll.
- Rotax driven.
- Potential JAP killer (don't take me wrong on this one!)

And Harley has cut off all it's ties with Buell.

Then what would stop an investor to restart the legendary Buell brand!

The furture looks bright.
And I will keep my XB as a classic.

BU(E)LL

I like this look at leaste the front end would prefer a more beefed up look on the back end but if I can ride it for long rides like I can my XB I can adjust. And if it will lead the pack on the straight runs like it does on the curves even better.

Has anyone read the Kneeslider article "Harley Davidson and Buell - Unfinished Business"
Unfinished Bus.
I thought it might be a good read for some... also check some of the smack on the link in the article about additional thoughts. I love it when bloggers catfight!

My thoughts on this bike is, to little to late. This is the bike they should have put out the first time instead of the same old bike with a different motor and an futuristic 80's looking front fairing and the worst designed radiators covers ever made on it. And for those that think it looks like a Jap bike or Ducati, guess what they are still in business for that reason. To sell things it must appeal to the masses or the upper class and the bike did not coast enough for the upper class. So that leaves all the rest of us. If they would have made that bike the first time, they would be in business today, I would be willing to bet. Also my 2 cents on the future of Buell. He has quite HD already and started a race bike company then I think he will start up again and maybe we will see this bike come to life. To race in the AMA type class I do believe you have to be producing motorcycles but don't quote me on that. So lets just keep our fingers crossed on seeing this spy shot bike come to life. Also for the one who said it is an after market fairing set find it and put a link on here.

does nobody think this could be a really good photoshop pic and i talked to a mechanic and he said there is no way to get rid a the side cowls it deffinetly looks good but its just a really screwy pic

Has anybody thought about that this is the only way to design a buell that hd can not say hey you are using our patents?[confused] He has to change what he created to shut hd up, come on hd didn't make it but they kept the patents.
