Awesome! You're very welcome! I hope he likes them.

waiting for funds... possible an 1125 set, natural

OK...I'll reserve them for you. If you decide you don't want them or don't have the funds when they're ready we'll figure things out then. Thanks!

still waiting for mine

Wow!! That doesn't make sense to me! You should have them by now. I shipped them on 1/31. Good ol' USPS!![down][down][down] Let's give it a few more days. They said it would be 5-10 days (which may have meant business days?) Might show up next week? Did bad weather slow any shipments down in your area?

Ya I'm thinking Monday doesn't count ,that's only 9 business days. Plus USPS turns the shipment into Canada post ,where i think the slowness is from!!

Mine use thread-locker and have a spanner-wrench type hole in them that you can torque them down from with a screwdriver, allen wrench etc.

Hey dro, my set on my previous Buell used a large o-ring at the base of the slider. Sort of butted up against the axle and slider flange. I believe the o-ring provided some grip to help keep the slider from vibrating loose with the locktite and torqued.

^^^Thanks. That definitely could work but it seems that the threadlocker works when used properly.

Oh I used locktite low strength as well.  Never had a problem with them coming loose.

Yeah. I would imagine low strength would work ok as well but I opted for the medium strength for a bit more reassurance. I include it with my sliders. That being said DO NOT USE HIGH STRENGTH THREADLOCKER unless you never plan to change you tires again. :D. Thanks for the insight.

made some axle sliders today cost me a total of 15 bucks they look good in my eyes and should hold up fine kind of on the small side let me know what you think

Looks pretty good! Did you machine them or use something already made? Do you just tighten them by hand?

theyre air cleaner nuts. i put a new filter on my nova and thought itd work pretty nicely for sliders so i held it up to my forks and sure enough it was a good fit! you can get them at any auto parts store. im sure if you searched around in a summit or a jegs catalog you could find some that are pretty fancy and a variety sizes http://www.precisionenginetech.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/IMG_8572.jpg mayb something like that

50dro's fit perfectly!!!!! The id's of the axles are different diameters and 50's are milled to fit perfectly.
