Anyone using the EBR 6mm(or 5MM) finned front brake rotor and the EBR mounting kit? Do you have a "clicking noise" with the front brake? Mine seems to have gotten louder and it's now when under brake and not under brake. Everything seems tight, brakes work fine, it's just that the way the rotor floats, it makes "some" noise...

Mine made some pad drag noise for a bit while the pads were new. Iv had it on for about a year and it went away quickly.

I had a loud clicking noise too. Almost as if the caliper bolts were hitting the caliper. After the tightening of the rotor bolts the "clicking" noise went away.

I torqued the rotor bolts to the spec that came with the the EBR rotor/mounting kit... used loctite 242 IIRC, the blue one, whatever it is.

been emailing EBR. Sent them some photos and turns out I'm missing one of the washers. They said, DON'T RIDE THE BIKE. They are sending me a new set of mounting hardware.

Very interesting, good to hear they are getting you set straight though. Which washers are you missing...just out of curiosity? I have the 5mm rotor and it doesnt click. It used to make a buzzing noise with the old style hardware and rotor though.

Doesn't the EBR mounting kit bolt the rotor directly to the wheel? Not using the springs to make it "float".

They use a spring washer now.

wait wait wait, Kona, does your instructions say to torque to 25 - 27 ftlbs??  Mine say 16 - 18 ftlbs??

that is weird. i scanned that from the directions that came with my new hardware last spring from EBR.

you can if you would like but mine has been mounted for 5000+ miles without any issues. im not going to remove just to torque to a lower value

lol. Right. I checked the paper I have in the garage that came with it, it says 16 to 18 ftlbs too.

Mines been on for about 4000 miles, the "clicking" has gotten worse in the last 500 miles.

I've got my kit in the garage to mount in the next couple of days and it says to torque to 25-27 ftlbs [confused]

if you look at the screen cap that firefighter posted there is a "C" next to the torque. This is most likely the revision level. For whatever reason they probably revised the torque. You may want to email them to clear things up.
