soooooooo... i color sanded today... being a perfectionist really IS a pain in the ass... looks great tho, painted the headlight bezels satin black as well.. im a little nervous to mount just yet, i think i am going to buy the whole 3m paint protection film kit, even though ill probably repaint in a year or so..

bflethcher ive already thought about startin a little side thing, frankly, it could be done fairly inexpensively, and i do enjoy it, but i have so little time on my hands, its just not feasable right now, lol, my g.f. hates me right now! but... is what it is, thanks you guys for all the feedback, i gta find a good camera to take some closeups with n ill postem up asap... going to octopus' house in the next week or so... maybe he has one... [confused]

All your hard work and patience will be very rewarding when it's all said and done. I can understand how you gf is - my wife is the same way. She agrees to let me do projects, but I guess doesn't realize how much time they take (even though I let her know), and then I'm the bad guy. It's all good in the end though once they see the results!

Jason, it's ok, I have a "spare set" no need to rush. Hit me up if you are seriously interested. I could always send the gf a copy of the notebook or something.[up]

sirius! RIGHT!? u say, "are you sure?, its gna be a few hours! then @ 2 hours in there all, WTF!? you been on this alll daaay!,, w.e..

and bfletcher, what color were you thinkin? i dont do fancy graphics... just plain, heavy, layered three stage or two stage.

I would let you have free reign!! I have absolutely no creativity when it comes to the matter. I seriously have no imagination. It is so bad, I jerk off to past experiences, sorry for the TMI, but I'm trying to get my point across. Do what you want to do and I'll pay you for your services. My favorite color is grey and pewter, if that helps. I'm not a graphic, "fancy" kinda guy. I'm a "sleeper" kinda guy.

lmfao! bfletcher, your a cool cat... would u be up for the sanding aspect? or would i have to do that? cuz being a perfectionists, i spent roughly 5 days on that, of course, i needlessly spent two days getting out scratches that probably never would have showed up... ill look into some colors, ill get back to you on that, grey, and the pewter, ill try to find ssomething a bit more interesting than just the plain two.. german cars have interesting varieties, i go by car dealers and look for colors i like and then get the color code, pictures just dont give enough when it comes to colors

what color are the plastics?? in my case they were different colors, blur red and yellow, i mixed and matched parts off ebay..i sasy this because, with a 3 step compound/polished and a powered buffer, u can get anything out, but it will never glow like clearcoat. however, there will be chipping and scratching, basically if you want it to look PERFECT. your gna have to repaint every couple years unless you spend five hundred dollars on some one to clear bra your entire bike... or buy a roll and do it yourself with a heat gun... the good thing about plastics molded in color is that if you get a chip... or a scratch... its still yellow underneath. painted plastics, and you get whatever color your plastics are or the primer underneath. that being said. be sure you want to be "different" it comes with headaches
