AGH My header is cracked

It isn't leaking yet but the front head where the big bend is cracked on both sides[mad].
so now my option buy a wrapped used one from extreme or just weld mine then wrap it.
anyone know how much a new one is?

For those who have wrapped there 1" or 2" better
and how much of the 25 or 50 ft roll did you use?

Well, how do you know xtreme's isn't cracked under the wrap? I say weld it.

I am gussing i cracked it while i was revising the brackets for my custom muffler.
i have a mig so i am kinda think weld and wrap.
I can get from napa less than asb just need to decide 1" or 2"

If your taking it off to weld it throw you a bung on the front pipe for a 02 sensor for your future tuning needs. [up]

Not a bad idea if there was a way to link in with thew rear or add it to the computer i would be right on that

A lot of guys are switching it with a toggle or using a LC1 wide band controller. Easy stuff and the information is already out there.

I used almost the whole roll of a 25'x2".

if you have a tig welder @ home just weld it up,then wrap it. if not mig weld it then sand down the weld and wrap it. you will probably be wrapping it either way.

I used about 25' of 2" as well.

well i hope i can make it with the 15' roll if not i will just buy more lol.
I do have a tig close to me now i think about it being stainless i might aswell run over there and get it tigged.
Convience of have a retired tool and die guy that now runs a chassi dyno shop

used up most of the roll. there was maybe 5 feet left when i was done. kind of a pain if the headers arent off with trying to feed 50ft of wrap through the headers each wrap.

15 ft of 2" worked out perfect with the header off.
tigged wrapped and i kind like it
