I have a 09 xb12scg, stock performance wise(besides k&n filter)

Should I do a air box delete mod for this bike? I have heard that with the 09's the air box is already pretty non restrictive and the mod is not necessary.
If I were to do it what do I do with the servo wires and the other tube thats connected to the airbox?

It won't hurt (or help) anything that much, though I definitely recommend adding a high flow air filter like K&N as well.

Use Tunerpro to turn the exhaust servo off & rip the servo system out. The other tubes are normally rerouted.
- TunerPro Muffler Valve Shutoff and also Breather Reroute

There was a question on an old post asking which mod do you wish you had not done? air box delete was at the top.

Yeah from what I heard, it makes an ungodly racket. I would ride around with the inner airbox lid off, but the outer cover on to see what it sounds like. Don't go far since you obviously won't have an air filter at that point.

I've just done the asb open airbox to my race kitted 04' 12s.......I was almost scared off by the negative feedback but glad I went through with it, you've already got the later model airbox so probably not necessary, if you do alot of highway riding the extra noise may annoy you but around town it's fine, you couldn't wipe the smile off my face the first time I gave it the berrys & experienced the induction roar.......it's awesome I love it!
