Instead of paying $100 for the kit, couldn't you just cut the top part of the existing airbox out, and use that for the top?

Do you need a TPS reset after doing this or anything else like that?

I already have the buell race ECU

The only time you need to do a TPS reset is when you install a different ECM or new throttle body on the bike, or if the previous TPS was done incorrectly. Period. Not required for intake or exhaust mods.

Highly recommended to tune - especially after removing all the restriction the airbox provides. Besides, there's no better "mod" for your bike than to ensure peak engine performance & longetivety with a proper tune. What year/model?

No mod is necessary, all are optional. Any mod that gets more clean cool air into the engine will improve performance as long as you adjust the ECM to optimise the results.

TL;DR : if you feel like getting more out of the bike... DO IT!

I cut the top out of my airbox! It makes throttle response much more snappy and pulls harder.[up] Plus the sound is amazing!!

Hey boys, just fitted the asb open airbox kit when I did my breather re-route, throttle response is sharper & the induction roar is awesome

Do I have to do a breather re-route with the ASB open air box kit? I called today to get the open air box kit and thats what they said! Just nervous about doing to many changes at once. I am already doing drummer ss exhaust, EBR pre programed ecm and a pipercross air filter!

Where do you guys route your fuel vent too after doing this mod? Also do preprogrammed ECM's come with the servo thing shut off?
