Almost Died (Lane Splitting)

This just passed the senate here in WA state on the 6th i think. The stipulations are that you can only pass on the left of the furthest left lane, traffic has to be going less then 25mph and riders can only pass up to 10mph over the traffic speed. It still has to pass the house but at least it has potential.
I read that its not by the book legal anywhere even in Cali yet is isnt illegal and therefor allowed....
I was recently in the LA area for a couple weeks for a funeral and driving there is complicated and the drivers are no better then the ones in WA state let me tell you. More then a few times I had the crap starteled out of me as a bike split the lanes.... Ive never split lanes and think it would be a bit terrifying honestly. A lot of risk in the hands of other drivers....
Passing on the left wouldnt be so bad but they dont sweep the shoulders here so if it passes, I hope they start lol.

in NJ...no way....drivers are dumb and raging! Both in the car and on the bike. Cant we all just get along...lol
