Well the Uly is running and no codes. Started to look how much of a drop i will need to fit me well. Going with the Lower seat and springs. I was over looking the bike with all the guards off and found that the original owner had done the breather filter but was a idiot putting it were he did. So my thinking is to replace the swing arm or just leave it be. received_1134875653285031.jpg

So, the guy ran the crankcase breather into the swing arm? Wow...

Well, if it were me I would find a bolt the same size as that fitting, wrap in teflon tape and plug that hole. Then do the breather re route the correct way. Seems to me that going into the swingarm like that it wouldn't be able to vent and would just build pressure in the oil tank.. Anyway, good luck whichever way you go on that.

Chiliphil1, it wasn't in the swing arm it was mounted in the path of it's travel and made contact (wear marks). OP only you can tell how deep it is but it should be OK. Just put some metal filler and sand it smooth. There is OEM Buell touch up spray paint that matches well.

I was either planning to use filler and go from there. And when i need to buy a spare swing arm.

Does anyone know where to order the BUELL paint for the black swing arm & frame? I scuffed my swing arm up when I took off the foot peg brackets, I use a rag now to protect the swing arm but the damage is done

Yeah man, it's kind of a bummer but absolutely no need to replace the swingarm. Some touchup paint and noone will ever notice.

... At least it didn't rub the oil lines!
