Hello all. I'm new to the world of Buell ownership and forums all together for that matter. Although I'm a newby, I must say that I have lived and breathed everything Buell for the past few years and giddy with excitement to finally get to ride my own bike.

...Quick question; in looking at some of the pics posted, I noticed an incredibly sharp looking XB12R without the belt guard and want to take mine off as well. Has anyone else done this without consequence? I'm a stickler for safety but if nothing will happen that thing may come off tonight.

You're good. I actually feel there is a benefit to doing it. Somewhere on here a while back there was a post about a few people who had sticks and other road debris get caught in their belt guard and actually ruined the belt. I have mine off and there are no issues.
