allright guys i have a 2009 xb12r firebolt complete stock i just got back running cuse the voltage reg went out so i went out my dad for 300 mile ride DID AWSOME. ok so the next morning i went to go to work and my buell will not crank im not shure i think it may be a fouled plug. but i took the front plug and no spark the plug look pretty wet from fuel from tryig to start if the plug was that fouled would it not give any spark? and if it should then could it be like the coil pack? fuse? i really dont no and i need it up before winter comes in and my dad leaves back for iraq

Check the stator output
Check the grounds
Have your battery load tested.
Sometimes.... when a regulator goes bad it takes out the stator too.
When your regulator was going bad its possible it damaged the battery.Have it load tested.

If the battery is low but not dead it will crank but not fire. The engine needs to reach a certain speed to fire. Also, it can crank over with pretty low voltage, but the electronic stuff often is less than happy with low voltage. For testing I'd put in new plugs then jump start it off a car (with the car turned off). If it fires right up you need a new battery. If not, keep looking.

good luck

go to auto zone and have a load test done on your battery, if its too low then buy one from them. believe it or not they carry one that is good for buells bla bla. talk the cashier into giving you the discount on it and its like 75 bucks instead of 100 or better. new plugs is never a bad thing. i been thru bad coil adn it doesnt get you that far your bike is giving you. i bet a video of it acting up would answer alot on this site though.

i tested the connetor at the coil with a test light and it pulse when the motor spins so im thinking coil pack
