They are the cycle gear special and I like the idea of not having the HIDs have to heat up before it gets bright. All opinions appreciated.

never used on an xb. but in other light housings, they are not an improvement. lights sources within parabolic reflectors need to have a spherical output. the problem with LED is that their output is more narrow/linear so they dont put enough light directed properly into the reflector to make them very efficient.

but heck....give em a try and keep us posted. do some before/after comparison pics too

They are just plug-and-play bulbs. I think the only problem I would have is trying to fit them inside the housing. There is a cooling fan on the back of the bulb that makes it a little bulky. And the beam pattern problem that gbalias brought up. If I had an extra housing laying around I would buy it and try but I don't know if it's worth taring the bike apart.

only thing I can see with these is that they may be good for the low beam on the S headlight housing. The stock bulbs are hot, they burn out the plastic chrome backing over time.. you could run this bulb, if it fit and it would probably keep that reflective backing from burning out. Then you run the stock high beam bc you don't use that as much. That's what Im seeing as long as it actually DOES run cooler than the stock.

LED headlights are lighting replacement kit the most sophisticated LED headlamps that has ever seen! We use a dish reflector around the LED chip to produce a large beam pattern, a heat sink integrated fan with safety grid and a single connector to the weather resistant high strength that our outer conductor is coupled to the bulb LED. Look no further when it comes to updating their bulbs LED headlights!

I don't see any problems with HIDS they don't take long to heat up , by the time you hop on the bike and ride they are good and bright. Would not change mine for the world. I went with the 35w kit and works great. Just my 2 cents. I know with LED lights you have to make sure you have enough clearance for the fan at the back of the bulbs
and you can't use the rubber boots at the back of the light housing unless you mod the rubber boot some how.
