Anyone ever takin a cruise?

Cozumel and Progresso, Mexico? Got talked into my first one on a 5 day cruise and just wanting input from as many people as I can. Do they have scooter rentals on the island? That and how many different types of rum is all I can really come up with right now for questions.

Yes, cosumel rents scooters but since your only in port one day you should try and reserve before you get there. Alcohol is expensive on board. You can sneak it on by using RumRunners bags. Your welcome...lol.

take a case of water!! the bottles on the ship are 5$ and you can take a bottle of wine per guest over 21.. i work at a winery so i filled an empty bottle with hard alc and had it quorked bar tab will still 5k for five of us so yeah...

I personally would't worry about reserving a scooter there will be people everywhere when you get off the boat trying to sell you everything scooters included . Be causious though because they drive like idiots there . It was great though when I got a scooter there the guy guy trying to sell me on it told me they were mexician harleys lol . Then we got a picture next to a harley only parking sign .

I use to resreve excursions through the cruise line but its a rip off you can get the same thing when you get off the boat for a fraction of the cost . Just my $.02
And I would reccomend the scooters in cozumel me and the wife really injoyed it . Also when we stopped at a bar to get something to eat/drink I rented a snorkle and flippers for like $5 and was snorkling in the same spot that all the $40 + tours were at .

I knew I would get some info but didn't know it would be this much. There really are great people that ride Buell's ! Thanks guys. Water I didn't know about or about bringing one bottle on with you. I guess while in new Orleans we will pick those things up since we're flying down there. Can you buy one bottle while off the ship and resupply your stock?

All ports have a liquor store but when you board the ship they search you and if they find a bottle they keep it till you get back in the states. And a side note if by chance you do anything thing illegal (smoke herb) or pop pills not saying you do but the staff won't say anything till you get back in the states. The local po po will be waiting for you. Just saying
