Anyone have an XB12R in Kansas City area?

Hey guys,

I'm new to this site and to Buells in general. I've owned bikes my entire life (CBR 600, Ninja 250, XS750, GS750, SV650, Daytona 675 (current bike) ), but I've always been interested in Buells. Particularly the Firebolt XB12r. I'm actually considering selling my Daytona 675 to buy one. However, there are none for sale locally for me to go test ride and see if I would actually enjoy it more than my Daytona.

Are any of you local (I'm in the Kansas City, Missouri area) and willing to let me take your firebolt out for a short test ride to let me see if I want to join the Buell family?

Shoot me a message or reply to this post if you're willing. I'm a cautious rider on the streets and I've been to quite a few track days and I've got easily 50,000 miles of motorcycle riding under my belt, if you need any reassurance.

Same here. That one does look clean, I'll keep it in mind! I don't mind driving a ways for the right bike, I just don't want to drive that far just to find out that Buells aren't really my style.

With that in mind, I'd really be interested in test riding ANY XB series bike. I just want to get a feel for Buells. Hit me up!

Saw that one as well, but Wichita is a 3 hour drive (6 hour round trip) from me. I wouldn't mind making the drive to buy a bike, but not really wanting to drive that far just to test ride one unless I have to.

Surely there's SOMEONE with an XB series bike in Kansas city right?

That's fair I guess. I was planning to ride my bike along as sort of collateral so I'm not just taking their bike empty handed.

I'll try calling some of the local dealers, but I've never seen a Buell in any of their showrooms.

In your guys experience, do Harley dealers tend to have pre-owned Buells? Or am I better off checking sportbike dealers inventory?
