Bad cps?

Ok I have had some weird trouble 05 xb12r will run only if I keep throttle at 3000 and that's with back fire and horrible running. I have checked sensors, relays, fuses, grounds, replace plugs, fuel filter and sock, cleaned injectors and verified spray, chked coil good spark, checked wires, checked for intake leak... Front cylinder was not firing and I checked valves the looked and operated fine.... So I've changed cps a little bit and now rear cylinder is not firing... Checked CPS on ECM spy and it shows good 0-5 however it shows 5 when my TDC mark is far left of window at straight center it is 0 idk if that just fractions that I'm off but seems like its not getting the proper fire signal ? I assume CPS but $150 I don't want to guess. Could be ECM but everything checks good on ECM spy no codes no CEL ??

Cam position sensor. Made a world of difference when I swapped out mine.

Ok I wasn't sure if they went bad completely or if they would show good reading but not function properly.

Read that one, that's the "right" way to test it. I've never used an osilliscope, but with one of those little portable units, I could see how it would make it pretty easy to do.

Wow thanks, that's great write up. It tells me what I need to know. I definitely think that it's my CPS after reading that.

Unfortunatly I checked CPS it's good still only running on one cylinder still the back so I'm not sure maybe ECM is bad but I can't afford that..
