bad PCV?

As seems to be a common problem, oil was leaking out of the rear PCV grommet on my 08 XB12r. I replaced the grommet and used yamabond to make sure it wouldn't leak in the future. Shortly thereafter the lower or rear crankcase vent (not sure what it is called) started to leak oil all over the cooling fan and rear shock. Could this be due to a bad PCV valve? The only thing I can think of is if the valve was bad it was relieving the pressure through the grommet and now that that has been fixed it has had to find another place to relieve pressure and that is the other vent.

If my thinking is correct or off, any suggestions of whether this is my issue would be appreciated. I'm new to this forum and looked for other postings about this and couldn't find anything. If there is something out there I apologize in advance for not finding it.

I've recently replaced mine and it was blowing oil all over my front cylinder. They're a simple "umbrella" style valve in there and prone to failure. It's a cheap part and the rear supposedly can be replaced without rotating. I'd swap it out as cheap insurance.

the one thats blowing on the fan is the transmission vent.

the transmission is sealed from the engine crankase pressure. so you either have way too much oil in the primary, or the oil type is foaming up and exiting from the vent way up there.

i also built a mini catch can from scrap leftover from building exhausts.....its not too fancy, but fits in the airbox and its stainless. i just empty it out every oil change or every month, depending on weather. but it has never overflowed.
