After fighting and swearing (for 20 minutes) I finally found the best way to install the battery. Hook the strap on both sides and slide the battery into the box. 1st try it worked. Hope it helps.
 
tried that. not a chance. There is no slack (like in the video) pulling with all my force and needle nose plyers you couldn't even get it close to the metal bracket. Still say strap it up and slide the battery it in is the best way (only way) I could get it done.
 
i cant believe you guys are having such a bad time with this, i've never really had to fight with my strap to go on, i mean sure its tight, and not super easy, but i just hook the bottom one first, and then stretch it over the battery and hook it on the top one....
 
don't have a strap on mine...... got it that way and has been fine for 3 years no issues..... just sayin:p
 
Buy yourself a cheap flatbladed screwdirver and put a notch in the middle of the tip with a grinder. Hook that on the bottom of metal ring on the battery strap. You'll have plenty of leverage to hook the strap.
