Battery Tender Question

I have a question in regards to a battery tender. My Buell sends time in my shed during the cold Jersey winters. Now the shed has no electric in it. My question is can i use an extension cord for my battery tender? Any help would be grateful.

Several years ago i had mine plugged into a heavy duty/ outdoor extension cord and had no problems at all .[up]

Just make is a grounded cord, and the connection must the off the ground...

In Michigan I just pull the battery out and bring it in the house.

I second that Bolty. Just unhook it at bring it inside. I charge it up every other week until the tender says its all good and I don't have to worry about it.

if the plug is dry, and the connection at the tender itself (not the bike) is dry, it doesn't matter where the cord goes. Just don't hit it with a snow blower.

The cord can be on the ground just make sure the connections are off the ground.

it would b far better to take the battery out like bolty said. it will only take 1o minutes to do the job
