Battery Voltage

Hi all.
Just curious about how the battery voltage should read after riding for 20 miles at a good pace then switching off for 10 mins then ground idling for another 10 mins.
I was plugged in to ECMSPY and when i shut down battery voltage was 12.3 volts.
Battery has been in the bike since i got it 2 1/2 years ago and its a 2005 XB12S.
I have it on a trickle charge all the time and when i start first thing it fires up a treat but when i fire it up after work it idles bad and doesn't like to runup with out a little throttle help to 1500-2000 rpm.
I had XOPTI do a remap and it has been great but now its spluttering so just wanted to ask incase it might be something else.

Places like Autozone will bench test your battery under load. This will tell you more about the real health of your battery.
In general, a bad battery will cause you problems. Apparently, the new ones from the dealer are the best, if you need to replace.
