Best Leather Jacket????

I use a Alpinestarts leather stunt jacket. I rode home at 2am on halloween night lastyear, and it was in the teens. I had on jeans with thermals, myriding boots, my castle mid-season gloves and a long turtleneck with the jacket. While after riding home on the highway (30min ride) going 80mph+ my hands were just starting to get cold, my legs were frigid, but my upper body was almost in a sweat.

Love that jacket for long rides when it will be cold, and when the summer comes I will stay alpinestars with their air line of jackets. Ended paying $200 for the jacket at a local dealership, They messed up on the price tag, and gave me 10% off on my order. All in all a great deal, They have had and will continue to have my business in the foreseeable future.

I have the Grey jacket

FYI - the scorpion leather jackets are made by the same group that makes Dainese. The scorpion rep informed me they use all of the same quality measures found in dainese.

Make the choice that much easier. I am definitely going with the Scorpion Stinger Jacket, all black.

Seen the Dainese jacket in the Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps movie and thought dang $700 for that jacket...... Well now I can get the quality without the crazy price:)

now to find the absolute lowest price and then on to looking for pants(preferably leathers) and boots,
any reccomendations anyone.

sorry for the sorta hijack of thread Xtreme!

No problem I need pants too, I already have boots lined up :D

SIDI Air boots, I want something I can walk around in and these look like the ticket, I don't ride in the cold or rain so the vents should be just right.

Just be aware that those aren't the most comfy for walking in more than 15 minutes or so. There isn't any arch support at all and the soles are pretty thin. They're great boots for riding, not so much for walking.

I bought some Dainese Torque boots after seeing a friends ankle snap wearing what I was wearing: Shift boots that are basically glorified high tops.

New boots have good ankle support, and a flexible ankle (in the directions your ankle is supposed to bend). I've worn them at work for about half the day and they were ok, but still boots that make you walk sort of funny.

oh....a bit on the pricey side too, but at the time I just wanted a safer boot

Any one try A* boots???

I looked at other boots but my worries are I do need to walk around in them, so I dont think I could pull off a pair of Ski Boots for riding[smirk]

I didnt see these, they look like a bit more support, but still have some flex like the Plan Airs.

Or something like these A* boots

I have worn the A boots! Fricken awesome! I could wear them all day, but i had to bend my long legs to get my toes under the shifter.

I were these. S MX5 the vented ones. Nice air flow. They are comfortable to ride in. I do walk around in them and it is not too bad. I've tried on quite a few pair of true riding boots. My opinion is they are never gonna be "comfortable" to walk around in. They have way to many hard unbendable plats/parts to be truly comfortable. It kinda seems like a trade off between comfort and safety. I tried to find a pair that had a good support/safety that didn't suck so bad that I left them at home.

I just bought some Gaerne GR-S Carbon boots, let you know what I think once they arrive. I have their SG-10 boots for the dirt bike and they are the most comfortable boot I have tried, big fan of their products.

Rear entry design is also a plus for these.
