Left to Right:
Mothballs - (2003 Blast) Sat in storage for several years before I picked it up
Rat Blastard - (2001 Blast w/ XB parts) Given by forum members
Master Chief - (2007 XB9R) Brought it home and my son instantly started calling it that, after the Halo character.

I have an 04' xb12r as well. The name is "Gertrude" a.k.a. "The Pig" depends on what our relationship is at the time.

"Honey, I'm gonna go work on the bike."
"Which one?"
"The Piece of ****."
"Oh ok."

What's wrong with it? I've never been on one, or worked on one, but a riding buddy of mine used to have '76 CB550. It was one of the coolest little bikes I've ever ridden!

It could be cool I'm sure, if not for these damn BSW30 carbs and a horrible PO. It's a 4-banger with two dual-throat carbs. They're finicky as hell. There's just so many little things wrong with the bike. Brakes work sometimes, body panel clips missing, wtf airbox, carbs, bald tires, floppy kickstand, no blinkers, fuckered up wiring that somehow still works, missing windscreen, missing rubber on pegs, oil leaks, brake switch, etc...

...you want it? I'd love to sell it. Any of my Buell's, on their worst days, didn't piss me off as much as this thing.

Gee, you did such a good job of selling me on it; how could I refuse!?[smirk]

Sounds like a good project though. Many of the items you list sound like they may be age-related deterioration of seals & plastic components. Parts off a donor bike would be just as deteriorated and to replace with NOS or repro-parts would probably cost more than the bike's worth.

I've got enough projects in the garage right now anyhow. Eislin, my aforementioned 75/5, is in need of some attention too. :D

I've bought and sold many things on Craigslist, I'm always an honest seller. I don't want people coming back with, "Well you didn't tell me _ _ _ _ _!"

With my new baby girl and a couple other projects in the garage, I just don't have the time nor will to do this one.
