Was at work today, and was driving off, went about 15 feet then my bike died. Was thinking I didnt give it enough throttle so I just tried to start it again, fuel injector worked, pushed ignition and it wouldn't catch, tried a few more times, and there was a pop. My Sgt said that the engine had fuel, but didnt fire correctly, talked to him for a minute and tried again. This time started with no problems, and has started fine two more times after that. The check engine light came on when it mis-fired and is now off. This sound like a problem or just a temporary slip up?

regardless of outside temps these bikes must be allowed a warm up time. It sounds as if it just overloaded on fuel and flooded out a bit. Im guessing by the POP you described. If you do not let it warm up it will do this sometimes. I live in the South and in this heat even I always warm it up for 4-5 minutes.

Do you allow it to warm up? Without blippin the throttle? If not do so [up]

X2. I've noticed that mine can be really sensitive if not warmed up good. Even in 80-90 degree temps. It will buck and pop through the intake and even die if I blip the throttle while cold. Runs like a champ when warm. You said the fuel injectors were running, did you wait until the fuel pump primed before starting? 3-4 seconds.

Yeah i waited, love in north Carolina so it's nice and hot as hell usually, I'll let it warm up a bit, i had just started it and started driving right away

Lol i guess so, she's getting poured on today :( thank you marine corps for wet weather gear though

If i crack my throttle in the slightest when trying to start it will not start; which i have done on the occasional stall as you described; you definitively feel like a rookie at he moment with everyone staring at you...

I think this may have been what you did... Ride on brotha!

Lol yeah, had about 30 people staring at me on my bike looking down not knowing what happened

You wish you could swear to them all that its the baddest bike ever built, while its just sitting there cranking and wont fire[confused]

Yep! been there done that. Just tell them Chuck Norris needed his fists back for a minute to kick some guys ass... When hes done you get your pistons back! that usually leaves them staring and confused enough for you to make your getaway
