Bike tries to start then stops.

Every once in awhile when I try starting my 08 xb12r. It will start turning over fine and then just stop.If I hold the started switch it will take about 3 seconds before it will try to start again. Most of the time it will start the second try,But some times it take 2 or 3 times. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try TPS reset. My XB9SX does the same after a while but mostly when it's been sitting out in colder weather (40 degrees) since running 20w50. Did better on cold starts when I ran Rotella 15w40 in winter. Also no problem starting on cold nights when hooked up to my battery trickle charger.

Well I had the battery checked and I run AMSoil 20w50 here in FL so it doesn't get to cold.Mine dose it more often when the bike is hot. But thanks for the advise.
