Hi Buellers,
I have searched the topics here and have found some great ideas for luggage racks and side carriers for other Buell models, but I was unable to find any pics or info for the Blast P3 model. I know the Blast model did not offer OEM hard bags etc..and is limited on load due to tail end design. I want to be able to load up my 06 Blast for a road trip in the Spring of 2015 and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions, alternate sites, pics, etc... for luggage and carriers.
Thanks for any advice or help in advance.
Sincerely,
Jeff

Hello,

We installed a GIVI top case onto the back seat of my wife's Blast. Rather than having it cantilevered as most top cases are attached (suspended out and over the rear), we actually drilled through the rear portion of the seat and reinforced the attachment from underneath. It's very secure and looks good. Let me know if you'd like more info or pictures. It's very doable.

Thanks for the information. When you have time, a few pictures would be helpful for me and perhaps other Blast owners. Thanks again for your time and advice.

Sincerely,
Jeff

Hey Jeff,

Here is just one picture I have handy. We sacrificed the rear portion of the seat since it's unlikely she would ever have a passenger. The top case is removable, and what's left is the attachment plate. So technically someone could still sit on the rear pillion if they really needed to (i.e. in case of emergency, etc.)

We really did not want this setup (this is not our bike; pic taken from another forum):

I don't have any detailed installation pics unfortunately. I can try to get some more close-up pictures, including with the top case on/off, as well as underneath the seat, this weekend.
