Blown Ignition Fuse- No Luck with findings PLEASE HELP

Well I'm an idiot. I don't know how I missed it but it's my fuel pump. It had high resistance and when I unplugged it from the circuit the fuse didn't blow. Plugged it back in and blew the fuse right away. Now I just have to figure out how to get the fuel pump out.

Glad you found what was causing you the headache! Pulling the fuel pump isn't that bad. Look at the fuel pump thread and you should get a good idea how to. BTW wait till after you pull it to decide on whether or not you'll replace it. You may just need to repair some frayed wiring.

eazy peazy japanezy.
remove negative battery cable from terminal
remove air box outer cover.
go to 2 o'clock position on frame/tank to vent and pinch off rubber line. fuel drain governor of sorts
with drain pan under pump remove drain plug....use vent pinch to control flow with gas cap INSTALLED
fully drained tank.....remove left riders foot peg assembly...remove rear tire...remove rear shock...fully press swingarm down towards ground....bike must be properly suspended or lifted to do this.
there is your pump. this will get you rolling on removal/install. use this link for more help. reasonably simple job

Thank you everyone for the help. I took the fuel pump out and 2 wires inside rubbed on the metal assembly of the pump. I taped them up and had to get new seals and it worked like brand new. Really appreciate the advice and help from everyone!
