Been planning a trip down the East Coast that includes a stretch of the Blue Ridge Parkway from Front Royal down to Roanoake. Just wondering if anyone knows what kind of temperatures/weather to expect during mid-September? I imagine it gets a bit chillier up there in the mountains.

Anyone know?

I live in the shenandoah valley here in Va, when are you coming thru? The weather now has been in the 90's this week. Sept. will probably be high 70-80 day and mid to low 60's night.

I live in Roanoke and ride the park way all the time. It goes with out saying wear a jacket. It's probably 10-20 degree difference up on the mountains.

There is some cool mountains around here you should check out if you were interested in some brisk street pace knee dragging. Rt.60, Rt.130/501, Rt. 221 all cross the Park Way. Give me a shout. [email protected]

i loved the blue ridge.. not sure about temperatures... But have a great time!

Jeep: I will be down the week of the 14th sometime. Don't know exactly yet.

Dragon: Yeah, I always wear my jacket when riding anyway. Will probably take the liner too just in case.

GSXDouble: Unfortunately, I'm pretty tight on time, but if it looks like I'm going to be ahead of schedule I'll check it out. I'm not sure how i feel about knee dragging with my bike loaded but we'll see. :p

Meetch: Thanks, will do
