Not my style, but what are your opinions?

I like it.
Some people have made some really cool custom bikes out of em.
And I think cycle world featured one that races in the same class as the EBR. AND BEATS THE EBR!!!!!
I'll find a link to the story....

I don't like it as it stands in stock form, I've seen one on a tv show these girls modded out and the tank looked massive. It has great bones and a ton of potential, smaller narrower tank and very minimal other tricks and I believe you have a neck breaking bike both in looks and performance. We all know that boxer motor is BULLETPROOF.

A 110hp, 490lb BMW beats a 180hp, 410lb EBR just because he's in a non-professional class like that, he's beating Panigales too. It's one step up from track days, and no one 'wins' a track day. Haha.

I like the bike and rode one after I saw it at the show. Nice bike, but it's for the 'lifestyle' crowd for sure. That guy is the anomaly and good for him! He can ride!

I wonder if tire swaps are a PITA with the shaft drive? I don't know how I feel about the tires having inner tubes either. If you low side the bike it's pretty much game over with the cylinder heads sticking out like that, no?

I have always told my boys, just because you own a Ferrari, doesn't mean you know how to drive it.

Tire swaps are super easy, It looks the same as the rest of the single side swingarm Beemers so a one sided spindle rear stand and Lugs, like a car...

OUTEX makes an inner tube conversion kit. I agree with you, I love spoke wheels but there are certain things that nostalgia should leave behind. Like inner tubes.

BMW has been making that style motor since the 1920's so they have had a lot of time to get the weak spots figured out. A low side will scrape up the valve covers, but far from catastrophic.

Ya Mr Logix, there is a unstoppable smile that comes from out-braking on the straight and passing a Porsche, on the outside, in a '67 Chevelle:cool: I really respect that guy for going out in a lesser machine and whipping butt;)

i'm on my 4th boxer beemer shaughn and love the things....but the euro trash crowd is a different breed altogether.....particularly the beemer dorks. i've been told a few are former nazi U-boat drivers who cruised the east coast of the US looking for mercantile victims....and will slash the throats of any beemer riders they see in shorts and tank tops.
That's awesome Lunatic!!

My one buddy loves beemers.

Just one huh?

LOL john. 2007 bmw RT1200 here. what looks like the kill switch adjusts the windscreen....flipper paddles to activate the turn signals left and right....what looks like horn button is the turn signal shut-off switch.....dual power outlets front and rear that don't accept a standard sized power plug.....blade fuses in some sort of odd-ball teutonic metric size. other than that.........................
