Everyone keeps telling me my front brake pad looks like it is low. Its an 09 with just under 6K on it. The funny thing is that folks have been telling me this for several thousand miles now. The pads look the same.
Is that just the way the brake pad looks or does the Uly eat thru pads?

Thanks for any info you can provide.
Cheers,
Adam

They look real thin even when new. The rear pads are about 7/16 thick, but the front doesn't have much meat on them. I think the manual says to change em' once they are the thickness of a dime or the chamfer in the centre of the pad is no longer visible.

I just ran out to the garage and took this:

Hope this is a good enough photo. There is a silver clip on the pad and its has a centimeter or two of pad past the clip.

depends on how you ride im pretty hard on mine i have 10k on my ebc pads and looks like they have plenty left.i changed the stockers out at around 3k because i didnt like them.

Whats the part number for the ECB pads? I was looking around for replacement pads and could not find any good ones.

Cheers,
Adam

I don't think that picure does much justice from that angle if your saying they have a centimeter or two . From that pic they look rather low and I personally would start looking in to buying some new pads . No front brakes equals no riding [down] .

adam: i have them if you can't find them. PM me and i'll check the #. i think brian listed the correct part #. thickness on stock new factory issued pads is only about 7/32 of lining if that helps.
