at any speed when i hit the front brake it feels like it is going to rattle apart. i had the wheel off and the rotor off to see if it was warped. laid it on my concrete floor in my garage and it seems to be pretty damn straight. still getting vibes tho. is this normal?

I had this same issue a while back and it had nothing to do with the breaks rather the triple tree stem upper nut was loose, so each time I laid on the breaks the front felt like it would rattle. So I assumed it was the brakes but in my search I loosened the stem nut and retightened it and the problem went away.

Worth a try.

Other wise I would say to loosen up the entire brake system and tighten properly to make sure each piece is torqued properly.

If that fails you may have a warped rotor even though it looks straight it takes very little to give a vibration.

clean you disc & brakepad (also light sand the pad), could be just a slippery spot or dirt on disc or brakepad

;)

+1 Lefox, I had the same problem and cleaned the rotor and went to Lyndel Gold pads and Vib was gone.

xtreme you were right. the weather finally broke so i was able to take it for a test run and the problem ended up being the stem nut.
