My clutch cable broke on my way home from work. Lucky it was late at night and i knew of a rout home where i would only have to stop once and then i didnt even stop just a slow roll through the stop sign. I will give harley a call tomorrow and get one order bcs we all know they wont have it in stock :( The truly sad part about all this is that i will have to drive my car tell my bike is up and going again. P.S.(most people dont even know i own a car ;) lol)

try AL at ASB and suburban HD too

suburban had on in stock when I broke mine and shipped it out the same day (and I think it was 10% off because I called in an order)

Be REALLY careful replacing that - the fitting that screws into the primary can be broken with very little force.
If you dig around the forums you will see many stories of woe regarding clutch cable fitting.
When I do it I lay the cable out on the ground pointing forward from the primary so that when you screw it in there is minimum side force on that puny little fitting. Make sure the O-ring is fitted and do it up just lightly 'snug' then feed the end up through to the handlebars etc etc.

thanks for the help guys. If harley doesn't have one i will order one up from americansportbikes.

Ya went threw and did my research and it seems i will be doing this job very slowly ;)

harley didnt have one in stock but asb did. So i ordered one up from them, should be here sometime this week.

Yikes! Brand-new to the Buell experience..any way to help prevent this? Does anyone/everyone lube the clutch cable periodically, or is it possible?

It surprises me that the cable will break this soon. My old bike, a Honda VT750, has almost 80,000 miles on it and its on the original clutch and cable. What gives with the Buell? I'm at about 11,000 right now and I'm a little concerned hearing these stories.

my parts will be here tomorrow :) I have to work but when i get home im going to put it on and go for a ride! I miss my bike it looks sad sitting in the garage. lol

installed the cable today and it went in nice and smooth. It was a easy job ;) thanks for the help guys.
