As for making another one Ill decide once everything is complete, perhaps I could just make a parts kit with everything included. Wrapping the wire was a big time suck.

Its coming along, progress has been slow. I've been on vacation and then things have been busy at work.

I have the LEDs and are deciding how to mount them and to pick the color. The LEDs can mount under the ring and point up, or on the side of the ring and point in.

I have cool white and blue. You can see in the pictures that the cool white has a yellow color when it is off. I don't like the look of it behind the ring as much.

I can mount them in the sides, however, there are two spots that I cannot mount the LED's on the side b/c it would interfere with the screw slots in the timing cover.

I will try to get a shot of the leds with power to show the color difference.

OK so I just did it...a little motivation goes a long way. (Thanks for asking about the status) Went with my gut and used the blue LEDs. All that is left is to mount it in the bike. Hopefully sometime next week.

So will there be a cover that goes over that arc reactor, or will that end up being flush in the hole? Personally think there should be a clear cover over that, but since I've never had mine apart to see how much depth there is, I can't tell you what to do... You know best [up]. Can't wait to see it installed. I so want to do this, but I barely have any time to create from scratch. Will the wire to illuminate the LEDs be hidden or will they be seen?

Frozone; I will have a cover for the reactor and it looks like I may need to do some modification to get the extra clearance I need in the hole. Nothing big, a washer or 2 might work.

I hope I can hide the wires decently.

what did you use for the ring? Im prolly gonna make something similar to your setup. I have been searching the hobby shops, but I cant find anything close to the ring you have.

I cut all the pieces out of acrylic on a laser cutter. The outer ring and innermost circle was 1/4" acrylic. The middle ring was much thinner (not sure of the thickness at the moment, maybe 1/16")
