Hello Guys - New to the forum. I'm contenplating taking my '03 XB9S into a custom frame or chopper frame. Anyone have any good tips/tricks for doing this, or anywhere reasonable to purcahse a frame or roller?

Again I'm only considering it at this point. My wife enjoys riding much more than I ever anticipated, and as we know the XB9S isn't the most comfortable with a passenger. Any input would be appreciated!

Upthemaiden; if he does this he will be using the forks :p

Do as you wish but you need to buy a smashed bike with a good motor as the motor is the hardest and priciest piece, the rest can be picked away at. And to buy just a motor costs almost as much as it would to buy a smashed bike.

Your best bet though is to find an older tube frame Buell that is carbed so you don't have to swap out the fuel injection.

SShrader, check out redneck engineering or Bitter end Choppers. Most of what you'll find out there will be rigid frame conversions and a requirement to convert to a carb set up. If your wife is enjoying riding with you, I'd say your best bet is to just add another steed to the garage. In what it would cost to complete the conversion of your Buell, you could have a whole other bike. Hope you dont think we are trying to be negative towards you, just hoping you find the info useful in making your decision. Good luck man.

if you do go for turning it into a chopper, are you gonna part it out? (id be interested in the entire tail):D
