here it is.

photoshop of what i thought it would look like.

here is the progress.

now all thats left is to make a fibreglass mould to cover the gap between the light and the dash.

let me know what you think.

is the light too high up?
should it be lower?
or should i leave it where it is and get a motard front mud guard?

yeah i guessed the bends, and it turned out flush so was real happy.

thanks for the support guys, waiting to get some spare cash and will get some more aluminum sheet so i can fabricate the new mounts to make it a little lower.

will see if i can fabricate a fairing/fly screen to look like that of the Aprilia Shiver.

I like it... I have been thinkin of doing something different on my x1. Currently have XB lamps but... I want something more differenter.

^^^ I wonder what that complete Aprilia set up runs. Probably a g-note... sigh.


Oh yea... I was going to say the height looks good but is it possible to snug it back closer to the forks or are there clearance issues?

yeah i think its sticks out a bit too far also. when i lower it i will be able to push ut back about 2 inches so will look better.

work in progress guys.

keep the comments and opinions coming. thats how things get improved.

the interesting part will be making the reverse mould to make the cowl.

Unfortunately that's as far as I could move it back. its a pretty deep light.

started on fibre glassing over the weekend.

think it turned out real well.

next stage is bondo and sanding, then paint.
