yea were located in Huntley, Illinois.

Thanks guys, more noticeable mods are tough it was basically stock. Header wrap, jardine can, red reflector tape on back of swing arm, and the jardine pops ALOT.

it does have a rocker box leak and the frame was recently buffed out so it is VERY shinny.

Hmm, I'm sorry to hear bout the shitheads with sticky fingers.
I drive from Oak Creek thru Mil to Grafton, I'll keep my eyes open.

I also check CL daily for Buells...

hopefully he had full coverage. my buell was stolen back in 08 and i got it back 8 monthes later but it was wrecked. now i rebuilt it but i just had liability so it came out of my pocket

Man, I hate bike thieves.. I think anyone who steals someone else's motorcycle should have their hands crushed...

Man somethin must be wrong with me. I was thinking alot worse than that. Unless you're talking about starting with that joe pesci casino hand in a vice method.

Long gone are the days when you could trust that this sort of thing was not such a problem, people were not as sticky fingered, something like this happens all the time nowadays, hope you get it back.

I don't live in a bad neighborhood and my bikes are garaged too, but this still makes me seriously consider doing something for for security. Hope it is located! THEIVES [sad] [down][mad]

My guess is it is someone local since he had it locked up and they knew what they were taking. I know some people will grab bikes and go no matter what they are, but they usually don't go through the trouble of clipping a lock just to see what "they might find inside". I checked some local ads down here in NC, but the only one I found that was white and same year claims a clear title, so sorry. Good luck and, yes there was a recovery story on here that to me is a rarity, but I hope they find the thieves. Track days are not a bad placce to try either because you don't have to have a titled bike to roll down the track. Things may have changed but that is usually the case.

im in northern wi right now and will be driving south through illinois to get to michigan. ill keep an eye out on my trip.

still no sign guys, his insurance still hasnt paid him for it yet either. They are just making sure its not a scam.

My guess is by now its been sold in parts.

I just jumped up and shut my garage door when I read this! Thieves suck.

I do like the whole Joe Pesci casino hand crushing idea... saves me from having to get hurt punching them myself.

Good luck on the recovery.

keep an eye out on CL, Ebay etc... Jackers are dumb as shit, not a large market to dump the bike without being noticed. My buddy had his V-Rod stolen and I tracked it, and his riding gear down on CL. Good luck, and have faith!
