Buell Uly/Bomber

I know this isn't for everyone & I'm sure most of you have seen this before. Has anyone ever seen a write up on how a Uly tail conversion to an S tail is done? I'm sure there is some fabrication that needs to happen. Not worried about that part, just curious as to how much is involved before I start looking into this seriously.

If the frame's the same, shouldn't the s rails bolt right up?

Frame is the same as the Ss if I'm not mistaken so the Ss tail would probably bolt up more easily. At any rate, that's a pretty cool looking bike! [up]

Getting an ss tail on a uly would be simple since those and the stt have the same front frame section. Putting an s tail on would require some fab. Since the s is more narrow. That look would be more easily achieved by installing a uly front on a s

The swingarm would be shorter if you put it on an actual S though.

That looks sick!! I've never seen that mockup picture before. Has anyone actually done something like this to their bike? If so, lets see it!

That would look great with the gas mask mod done too. It would give it a little different look with the bigger/wider Uly flyscreen.

I've seen a guy from Australia that did it but I can't seem to find the website again. I've seen a couple posts on here where they took the Uly midsection out of the tail, replaced it with a chopped Lightning midsection & an SS seat drops right in. Looks good but I'd rather an S tail.
