/\ is that how you have to gear up to ride a bicycle in LA?lol

Funny-ish story that I was clowning around up and down the hill there on Sunday (it's an empty commercial district) and a dang Prius tried to take me out! Swerved right for me! I thought "oh great... THIS is how it all ends!?! It's not even a cool story:("

actually the polar opposite of cool! :sorrow: i almost got taken out by a prius in my truck a week or so ago. Came over a hill and the idiot was doing u -ball in the middle of a major highway @ the speed of smell! those damn cars are dangerous

What are the odds of having to roll your bike forward or backward to check tire pressure?

100%

For both bikes.:mad-new: It was actually sort of funny.

I've actually had the rare occasion where I didn't have to roll the bike to check the pressures...always thought that should be a sign that I should play the lottery that day! :eagerness:

LOL
I normally just spin the wheels with it in place, but yea, that's such a pita. Seems like the damn bike puts the valve stem exactly where you can't reach it EVERY TIME.
LOL

Think I'm going out to ride my moto. On the fastener thing.... On my K1200 there is only 0NE fastener that takes a p3 philips. It's holding the muffler. I replaced it with a torx. Back when it was under warrantee (sp) I took it in for something. A few days later I found they REMOVED THE TORX BOLT and fitted the same p3!! I find it amusing how many riders buy/carry tools that don't fit anything on their bike.

I can't take credit for this, I was adjusting my primary chain and a good friend told me,

"Shifting a Buell is blue collar labor"

Too good not to share!

Oddly the exact opposite is true too:upset:

My bike just cranks and cranks for a long time and won't start?

"Buy a battery, and check your grounds"

You need to lurk on the Facebook groups. Its a whole treasure trove of Buellizms.

"hey I just bought a Buell, but i have no idea what it is. where can i get new parts on ebay or amazon?"

"how can i fit jap sportbike fairings to my rr1000?"

"who has a link to a turbo kit"

Exactly why I don't:concern:

and exactly why I can spot them in a minute.

Hey guys, I am an amazing rider, better than you, and perfect person who knows everything. How do I plug in a vacuum hose? I don't WANT TOOOO! YOU ARE WRONG!!!!!:stupid:

Nah, the Facebook guys are usually pretty humble and decent guys and they have their core group of knowledgable people and the eager learners.

But, every now and then you get that one guy .... and the posts are hILaRIOuS!!!! We have been seeing a few of them bleed over to here recently.

However, unlike us, those groups are very active and have a lot of engagement. The forums are dying and Facebook is taking them over. I'm sure a lot of the old regulars who used to post here, are now active on the Facebook group.

Time to disconnect the landline Cooter, your AOL discs dont work anymore anyhow.
