I prefer the TT-Busa, more like a bike. Locally done here in Western New York

I was on one at a show once. The rep kept telling me it was nothing like a snowmobile. I couldn't stop laughing at him. It is exactly what I expected....and def not my cup of tea either. Im not going to bash them because for some its this or no form of riding at all, but it is no replacement for a bike.

I have ridden one and it is pretty cool. Not for me but cool. A friend bought one last February and has not stopped riding it. he loves it and plans to use it as his only vehicle even in the winter. I think he has about 30000km on it already and has had no issues with it at all.

Hi Phazernut,

Tell your friend to vizit the dealer for safety recall campain check. BRP has announced the DPS unit (Dynamic Power Steering) recall. Many vehicles should have the DPS unit replaced for a brand new one.

Best regards!

I've never seen a person riding one without a smile on their face. Seriously.... next time you see one, you'll notice a smile.

If for some reason I couldn't ride on 2 wheels or too scared I would rock a spyder for sure.
the people who buy them all seem to love them

and the dynamics video seemed to be very impressive

but the drifting looked like fun with the TCS (traction control) off :D[up]

and watch the tires flex when they demo the SCS (stability control)

I'd rock one if I was physically challenged or mellowed out to the point where I would want Adele on the back touring with me all the time..

You bolt guys must like the look of the headlights and a company that wanted to step up and save Buell is all right in my books!
:D

they have a lot of recalls one of them is unintended lane change.can-am had a lot of recalls on older 4 wheelers also.

I also had a frank smile while riding Spyder a couple of times. It does give pleasure of smooth driving and at slow speed. However when riding over 60 km/h and trying to turn the Spyder starts inclining ouside of the turn (you can not incline it inside of the turn like the 2 wheel bike) and that gives a little bad feeling of cornering. Then you realise that you have to slow down seriously to turn without that feeling that "I am about to tip over"

BTW Spyder has no Hand Brake Lever. Only foot brake pedal. If you will have to stop rapidly on the high speed. You'll feel that one foot pedal is not enough. To say more you'll feel as if you are trying to jump out off the bike on the speed by pressing that pedal with your foot.

So this machine has its pros and cons.
Speaking frankly if I were a millionaire then I woud buy this toy as well:)
However if I would have to choose between Spyder or Buell ;) BUELL OF COURSE[up]

Yeah BRP does have a recall about Steering component (Dynamic Power Steering Motor replacement). They told that Spyder really can change the lane. It is about the Software and Torque sensor of the Motor which assists to steer.
Hwever speaking 'bout BRP Can-Am All Terrain Vehicles (Quads) I can really say that those are reliable and exciting toys. I liked riding a Renegade X (800 cc Rotax V-Twin)

and DS 450 X Manual transmission

much more than Spyder.
The first one is the ultimate machine and the second is a lightweight mad racer.
Quads from BRP are more interesting than Spyder.
But what I like about Spyders is that version of the Electronic Transmission. You are only pressing the +/- knob to up/down shift gears and that's all - EASY 'n' COMFORTABLE. one more advantage by the way:p.

In theory yes. But I have heard no one experienced that for two years of speaking about that steering problem.[smirk]

it looks like it would be fun to ride. i wouldnt compare it to a bike thought. looks just like a ski doo rev sled from the front. they got a niche going. if i had lot of money i would have one just for the hell of it but it definitly doesnt replace a bike

If we are going on 3 wheels, here is what I want...
