Removed the strap,unscrewed cables,LOL and that mother wont come out.Please someone explain like your talking to a 5yr old.Thanks
 
I suspect that Agate originally tried removing the battery without un-clipping the fusebox form its mount...

That was the second thing I did but know luck,then I took all the screws out of the plastic and was able to lift the tail up and battery came out like a new born baby.
 
Just goes to show that spending a few bucks for the service manual would sure eliminate a lot of mystery and grief...

Even then, the recommended battery change procedure is a royal PITA. Especially on a model so prone to charging system failures that, at first, leads the owner to hope (in futility) that a simple battery change/charge will help.
