About a month ago I swapped out old my painted plastics for new carbon fiber parts. I got them off Ebay. Sadly they came from Hong Kong but even if I could have found all the parts domestically made, I wouldn't have been able to afford them. They are probably at least 1/3 lighter than the originals. The finish is very glossy. I'd have to give them a B+ on the fit though. I did have to dremel a few of the pre-drilled holes, but it wasn't terrible. The belly pan is one piece and that was hardest to fit. I don't remember the exact amount I paid, but it was a bit over $1000 for everything. Probably it would have cost about as much to get the originals professionally stripped and repainted. As a plus, I still have the originals. Overall, I'm very happy with the result!

You might notice on the last pic that the air box cover came with dual intake vents which made the decal placement a little tricky, but I think it looks good anyway. I don't have my air box modded so the vents really don't do anything.

You've done a top job there Mustang :) I'm aiming for a full carbon replacement (got the frame panels and peg guards already). I'm glad you put the pegasus protector and Buell decals back on, it would look too plain otherwise. I also appreciate the neutral wheels. I'm aiming for Orange, like the Repsol racing team :D

The decals are thick and really stick strongly. It was hard lining them up especially with the two intakes on there. I think they are a little off compared to factory, but close enough. I need to get a protector for the protector though! Being brushed aluminum, I'm afraid of scratching it. I'm going to find some clear cling-on vinyl and cut it to fit. The wheels are stock, so I decided to not get them coated... I think they look best this way with this "color" scheme anyway.

Yeah, I love that double bubble. It really does deflect a lot of the wind on the freeway.

Hey Old, don't forget to post pics for us when you redo your bike!

Thanks guys!

Looks great--but I liked your old scheme too.. [up]

What type of pulley cover is that? Steering damper?

The pulley cover is from Rhizoma Racing. It needs a new piece of clear plastic though. The current one is a mess. IDK about the dampener. Both were on the bike when I bought it. They look cool though! LOL

Oh9 - LOL!

I was going through a box of stuff yesterday when I was getting ready to change the voltage regulator and I found this decal... I forgot I bought it. IDK if this is the correct location for it, but that's where I wanted it. I only had the one, so it's only on the one side:

Haha, china stuff put on an american bike. JK, that bike looks good. The wheels don't take away the attention from the carbon fiber.
