so i pulled the seat off and the fan shroud from the comfort kit was resting on the fan. i relocated it but i still dont hear the fan running. fuse looks good....
Yeh, not a good idea, best case scenario you just burn up your oil everytime you ride any distance, we have a spark skip mode built into the ECM, but if you are that hot, your oil is toasted
yeah im gonna hard wire it when i get home and see if it runs. i only ride 2 miles to work and back, and usually the cooling fan doesnt even kick on by the time i get to work.
the lights still on, but i freed the fan up on my lunch, but like i said i only ride 2 miles to work. i dont know if its like a car where you have to drive it a bit for it to shut off
Wouldn't the easiest way to clear codes be to unhook the negative off the battery for a day or so? Surely by then the residual memory would have cleared. Just an idea worth trying before having to do the 50 start/run cycles.
yeah 50 starts is insane. i almost wish the bike was OBD2 so i could just hook the scanner up to it and clear it. ill try unhooking the battery. thats usually a sure fire way to clear a code!
