I was not able to go. The alternator on my truck went out on Wednesday it took two days to to get alternator. I thought it was not going to be a big deal but the threads were to big and it would not bolt up. So could not drive the other truck because my wife has to work on weekends. I had to take the kids with me and I cant ride 3 up on the Lightning. My Dad lives 30 minutes from the track and my plan was to trailer the bike down and leave the kids with him. Oh well I guess it was not in the cards.
Life happens! We did the fan laps (2 laps) for $10 the track surface is very smooth and flat. We where near the back of the pack and hung back far enough to pin it out of turn 17 until we caught the others in turn 1. I feel a track day coming on!
2 laps for $10 I would do that. My Dad told me that the money they collect for the 2 laps goes to charity. One of the lady's in my Dads rotary club is one of the executives at VIR.
My brother did the Buell track day a VIR the other year and had a blast on his ULY. He got me a track day T-shirt. I'm still mad that HD pulled the plug on Buell.
Dave, Yeah it was good to meet a fellow Bueller.
Richmond SuperBike has a good reputation and they work on all brands, they may be able to help you with the ECM.
I'm in Northern VA near Warrenton depending on what I have going on we might make it. I'm about 35 miles from DC. It takes about 45 minutes for us to get there on the XB12S.
