i checked everything, stator ac output34v at 2000rpm, ohms a little hi .6 ohms harley said should be good if putting out volts, checked voltage regulator for with test light, that was ok and i just put new battery and guy i bought from said replaced voltage regulator about year ago just put new volt erg plug on he gave me, when my problem started other day found old battery cable was loose and cells real low, but new battery and same problem

If its not charging and you feel the vr and stator are working properly, check the plug under the pulley cover. Many threads on this issue, its connector 77. The troubleshooting steps in the service manual are pretty helpful on this one. If you don't have one, download it from the link above. May not be the identical year as yours but the system is still the same.
