check engine and misfire problems. need knowledge

well cant find my ecm spy cable but ordered one today. just seeing what yall think. The xb12 is misfiring at idle hear loud click every time. and the check engine light comes on after i ride few miles. what could be wrong in yalls opinion? letting it sit till i find out

The noise could be a plug wire.

checked the plugs. bike seems as it may be running lean. they were dry completely and bike had only been off a couple mins. do yall mean possible bad wire?

well if it helps, i would check wires too. when i rotated mine down to put some NGKs in, both wires were chaffed through the outside and going into the white insulation. seems the idle cable thing dug into one and the rear is from?!?! went and ordered the straight boots from iron machine
