I have finally decided to part ways with my Hero Blue airbox and flyscreen. They aren't as scratch-free as I remember them when I put them away two years ago. I'd like to get them cleaned up so they are worth more when I sell them. Any suggestions? I have used the Novus 1-2-3 stuff but they are still swirly with a few gas spots.

sounds like they need a really REALLY good buff. alot of time and effort. a discounted price in my opinion would be 100 for airbox 70 for flyscreen!!

I bought a kickash fly screen for 25 and a city x aorbos for 80 with an extended flyscreen. Just a thought. As for cleaning them up, sand sand buff buff

I wouldn't do it. They start out pretty abrasive. I would just wet sand with 1500 grit, then 2000, then 2500, then buff.

^omfg, that is even a better idea. what about just 2500 grit, then buff? or just buff? mine is in really good condition, just some swirl marks, and minor, minor scuff marks.

same here. I dont have any major scuffs but I do have plenty of lesser scuffs. I have no idea how to get them out.

I would just buff the translucent plastic if you have swirl marks. I have swirl and that's what i'm going to do try real soon. I mean if you have scratches then you can wet sand, but for swirl i would just buff. I will let you guys know what happens in the next few days with mine.

I just tried Meguiar's Plastix Clear Plastic on my flyscreen last night, and it came out great. Did it by hand. Washed it real good then went at it, both front and back. Mine only had swirls marks and very light scratches. color was kick ash. I will post up some pinks tonight when I do the airbox cover. This will be the real test as it has a more swirls, scratches and marks.
