Clutch Help!!

I was doing the "DIY clutch adjustment" that dave had posted. I turned the screw about 3 turns to the left and put everything back together. I started my bike, pulled the clutch in and when I clicked it into gear the engine made a loud whining/grinding noise. So I shut it off and tried to re-adjust it back to normal but now the clutch lever is very stiff and doesn't engage. What the heck just happened? I have an 07 xb12s if that helps.

i would go ahead and do a full clutch adjustment. do you have a service manual? if not look under section 1.9 clutch, in the 2005 firebolt pdf in the buell service manuals by the Buellxb banner^^^^^.

When you did the clutch adjustment did you turn the screw back to the right 1/4 to 1/2 turn after turning it the three turns to the left.
