I say that I have adjusted it once allready, but the truth is i only adjusted the cable and not the whole thing. As of now it feels like its not releasing all the way. Short pull to engage, long release almost till the lever is at the stops before it releases clutch. Need some help figuring this one out.

start from scratch jamason and adjust clutch as per below. lubing the cable and perch/lever pivot point also recommended but up to you. and run 1 quart of a quality trans fluid such as Bel-Ray, Silkolene, or Amsoil in your trans/primary....a specific trans/wet clutch fluid:
slide cable gaitor up to reveal adjusting barrel-jambnut.
loosen jamb-nut and turn adjusting barrel until you feel alot of cable play at lever. stop there
go to derby cover. it is large round cover in center rear of primary cover.....NOT the small upper cover. the small cover is primary drive chain inspection cover.
remove derby cover...remove nut with spring attached...see the slotted screw?????....turn it out which is counter-clockwise until it gets snug...then turn in 1/2 turn. replace nut/spring assembly...replace derby cover.
go up to lever....should still have alot of cable play. now turn cable adjuster barrel the opposite way you first turned it as per above. this removes lever free play. keep turning barrel until you have approx. 1/8th inch free-play at the tip of the lever-perch assembly. you want just a slight amount of freeplay in the lever before you feel cable tension.
then hold adjuster barrel with 1/2 inch open end wrench and tighten down jamb-nut snugly. spray a light coating of protective lube over barrel assembly and slide gaitor down over entire assembly. i also put wire-tie at very top lip of rubber gaitor to keep water from running down between cable and gaitor and into adjuster barrel.

What he said ^^^^ definately sounds like a clutch pressure adjustment not clutch lever adjustment.

Ok started from scratch..... After I built a home made bike stand, cost me all of 10 bucks and the use of my neighbors welder. Much better, bike only has 7500 miles on it and its not a pronounced now, but I still feel some slippage. Bought it when it had 2500 miles, P.O. Dropped it once he said, not saying it did a lot of damage. But it could be part of a larger issue. That or I have ridden the piss out of this clutch that much. Either way, gonna order a new clutch soon and fix this issue.

they're fairly easy and straightforward to replace. procedure in shop manual along with some excellent youtube videos that walk you thru it. you will need to buy or borrow the compression tool to collapse the diaphragm spring on the clutch pack to disassemble the pack. after that it's straight forward.
