Quote: I don't think I give my XB9S enough time to warm up before I hop in and take off. And I have to confess that yesterday I ran it up to 5.5k in 1st after it had only been running less than a minute. Not to criticize on a confession thread but that's a good way to ensure you ruin your rockerbox gasket!

Sometimes I don't allow enough warm up time either... When I had my Cyclone I did blow my rocker box gasket, when one night during a small party at my house I took a few buds out to the garage cranked er up and did a static burn out in the garage(just to show off) no warm up at all, Ive learned from that... don't touch my bike while drunk!

All my plastics are sitting in my basement movie room next to the buffer and Novus waiting for my soft touch.... and an afternoon of buffing and polishing.....

I'm ashamed of this, but, i dropped my bike because i made a left hand turn after forgetting to put the kickstand up. She's ok though. It was a long time ago.

Sorry to hear about your mom Dean. As long as you remember she'll never really be gone.

Ahhhhh I must confess I dumped my xb last week because I'm stupid. The bike has very lil damage and eventually I'll heal! I'm going to start wearing gear more.

Right now my bike is in someone else's garage. He is also riding it for me while I'm deployed.

Dang man I wish I would have got that call thanks man! JK enjoy life in katar and make it home fast and safe.

I dont always let my bike warm up to operating temps before taking off on her either. Usually it is because I am taking it to work, and at 6 AM, my exhaust can startle people (1125R w/ FMF), especially my baby who is usually sleeping then too... I try to get out of my neighborhood as quickly as possible so as not to disturb neighbors (I know...how nice right?) It is usually up to operating temps before I open it up though. AS far as being a bad owner, I suppose I could ride her more often. My battery has died twice in the last 3 months because I dont keep her on a tender or ride her as often as I should.
