Just saw this in a trade magazine. Looked like a good alternative to a torch. Anyone happen to use one?

I had seen one similar to that one in a muffler shop back east.
I thought it was a good idea then but, it really is only good for things you have great access to.
So if you wanted to use it in a tight spot, like between the firewall and your headers your kinda screwed.

That's what I suspected, but in an area where there may be wiring or hoses, it seems like a good idea. I have no idea what they cost though.

My buddy has one at his auto body shop. It worked great for getting the rear axle out of my 450 when one of the bearings seized up on the axle. It gets really really hot. We had the axle glowing within a minute or two.

anyone know what the cost of something like this is? I am pretty damn good with a torch, but I am also addicted to buying tools

^Ouch. Guess I don't need one as bad as I thought, it's not THAT cool, even if it was 1/2 that much $
