Hi Guys

I suspect my cooling fan isn't working on my 2003 firebolt xb9 with race ecu, exhaust and filter. Bike has 26000km on it. Got it at 24000km. Can remember the fan running when switching off before but havn't heard it for a while now. It is winter here though, but not too cold at about 24 degrees c. Any ideas how to check it. Is there a ecu code that will notify you if it's not working. Have had bike about 6 months now.

Thanks

I know if you have the ecmspy and cable, you can run the diagnostic for the fan that will kick it on to test it. I noticed if I cruise on the highway the fan will kick on, but if I cruise around town and it's cool out it'll usually stay off...until the bike is shut down...It almost always comes on when I shut the bike off, but I live in Florida, it's in the 90's (F) today.

I believe in the manual, they show how to jump it to test. You can down load the service manual underneath the buellxb.com header.

Click HERE and his codes will make more sense. The procedure uses a wire "jumper" and flashes the code to you via the Check Engine Light.

check heat sensor it can make a big difference to fan and heating problem it still had origanal sensor so well over due my bikes done 64000 km.they do fail apperently check wire for rubbing they do wear threw because of vibration
